Forensic Science Laboratory, Govt. of West Bengal organizes in-house Training Program, Internship Program, workshops from time to time throughout the year (in its head quarter and two regional laboratories) despite its busy schedule of analysis of Court exhibits and reporting. Our scientists and scientific staff occasionally provide expert training and laboratory visits to the police personnel (S.I./A.S.I./D.S.P.s and IPS probationers), doctors from Forensic Medicine and students from B.Sc. Nursing colleges. They use to get exposure and hand-on experience on different types of analytical techniques and working procedures adopted in different sections/divisions of our laboratory for the analysis of various Court exhibits sent to our laboratory to help detecting the crime in support of Criminal Justice Delivery System. The scientists of our laboratory also impart internship program to various students studying in Forensic Sciences in different universities across the country for a period of several weeks to even few months and provide certificates to them after the completion of the same which help them in building their future career on Forensic Sciences.
